The Center for Hybrid and Embedded Software Systems (CHESS) is proud to sponsor six undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds and cultures to participate in the Summer Undergraduate Program in Engineering Research at Berkeley (SUPERB-IT). These students have worked with individual mentors throughout the summer, and performed research and supporting activities in the area of hybrid and embedded systems.

Each student was involved in an individual project, which may overlap and/or interact with the project of another student. The overview, and goals, of these projects can be found on the projects page, and in this PDF document .

You can look through these pages see the students' backgrounds, research projects, and of course: progress throughout the summer. Individual student pages provide links to their research, accomplishments, and/or useful background on themselves. The end of the program is marked by a public presentation of their work. Here is a photo gallery of the event. You can see previous SUPERB students and projects at their webpages (Chess SUPERB-IT 2004, Chess SUPERB-IT 2003).
