Abstract
Distributed execution of scientific workflows has been a hot research area to utilize abundant resources for workflow execution acceleration. In this presentation, we will briefly discuss the common requirements for scientific workflow distributed execution and the diverse supporting solutions in Kepler system. Then we will focus on two particular distributed architectures in Kepler: Master-Slave and MapReduce, which have been applied in Ecology and Bioinformatics domain respectively. Applications, experiments and comparisons of these two models will also be explained.
