Chess website accounts are available to the Chess community,
which includes participants at Berkeley and affiliated universities,
the personnel of sponsor companies, and individuals collaborating
with specific workgroups.
For details, see
Who can get a login?.
Accounts are simply a means for providing you with an "identity"
on the server so you can participate in the discussion groups
