Tested the ISO with md5 sum (hash) with winMD5Sum.
used InfraRecorder to copy the Kubuntu image file onto a CD.
Booting up Linux, errors: Soft lock on CUP#0
Could not debug this problem, proceed to:

Countered another problem: when Kubuntu is installed and
when trying to boot, it will say: GRUB load, and simply hangs.

for installation of version 7.04 on Optiplex 320.
The solution is to install lilo in place of GRUB.
(this problem is specific to Optiplex 320.）
After installation, follow instruction in NIS and Unix Infrastructure at EECS/Berkeley to configure the machine in order to have others in EECS domain and robotics group login to your machine.
