This file provides instructions for Solaris compilation.

First apply the sis-1.2 patch (i.e. sis-1.2.patch1).
 Follow instructions in the README file for help with 
 this step.

(0) Making sure you have a GNU C or SunPro's C compiler.
(1) Making a command "/usr/ccs/bin/ranlib", which is an empty shell
     script. 
(2) Download and uncompress sis-1.2.patch-Solaris.Z
(3) Apply the sis-1.2 Solaris patch (sis-1.2.patch-Solaris) 
     from the parent directory of the sis-1.2 directory. Use 
     the command:
       patch -p2 < sis-1.2.patch-Solaris
(4) Run make following instructions in the README file.
