Improved Techniques for Estimating the Execution Time of Embedded Software

Abstract

The presentation discusses the role of estimation of software execution time in codesign, and place a number of techniques in context. Some techniques to improve the quality of the estimators using statistical analysis of sets of benchmarks will be discussed along with preliminary results. This work is ongoing and I will conclude with some ideas for further improvement.
