Dr. Akash Despande

Dr. Deshpande has over 15 years of experience in the networking and software industries. Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Deshpande has authored numerous research papers on topics ranging from programming languages and operating systems to networking and transportation. He also speaks regularly at engineering conferences around the world. Prior to earning his Ph.D., Dr. Deshpande worked as a Senior Engineer for Teknekron Communications Systems, Inc., (now TCSI Corp.), and held engineering positions at AT&T Paradyne and Tata Consultancy Services. After earning his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994, Dr. Deshpande taught graduate courses in systems theory and served as a Research Engineer for the University. Dr. Deshpande received an M.S. in EECS from the University of Florida, Gainesville, and a B.Tech in EE from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India.
