Wolfgang Kunz


Wolfgang Kunz, born in Saarbruecken, Germany, in 1964, received the Dipl.-Ing. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany, in 1989 and the Dr.-Ing. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Hannover, Germany, in 1992. During 1989 he was a visiting scientist at the Norwegian Institute of Technology, Trondheim, Norway. From 1989 to 1991 he stayed with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and from 1991 to 1993 he was with Institut fM-|r Theoretische Elektrotechnik at the University of Hannover.

From 1993 to 1996, Dr. Kunz has been with Max-Planck-Society, Fault-Tolerant Computing Group at the University of Potsdam, Germany, and is currently with the Institute of Computer Science at the University of Potsdam. He has held summer appointments as research assistant professor with Texas A&M University in 1995 and 1996. Dr. Kunz is recipient of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Science Award and IEEE Transactions on CAD Best Paper Award.

His research interests are in VLSI testing, formal verification, logic synthesis and fault-tolerant computing.
