Prof. Chung-Kuan Cheng
Chung-Kuan Cheng received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical
engineering from National Taiwan University, and the Ph.D. degree
in electrical engineering and computer sciences from University of
California, Berkeley in 1984.
From 1984 to 1986 he was a senior CAD engineer at Advanced Micro Devices
Inc. In 1986, he joined the University of California, San Diego, where
he is a Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering Department,
an Adjunct Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department.
He served as a chief scientist at Mentor Graphics in 1999. He is an
associate editor of IEEE Trans. on Computer Aided Design since 1994.
He is a recipient of the best paper award, IEEE Trans. on Computer-Aided
Design 1997, the NCR excellence in teaching award, School of Engineering,
UCSD, 1991. His research interests include network optimization and
design automation on microelectronic circuits.
