Dr. Patrick Groeneveld

Patrick Groeneveld, principal engineer for Magma Design Automation, is one of the key developers of the Blast Fusion™ physical design system. Before joining Magma he was associate professor at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, and also worked at Compass Design Automation. As part of the electronics engineering faculty at Delft University, he developed the OCEAN system, a complete design system for Sea-of-Gates. He received his Masters and Ph.D. degree from Delft University in 1987 and 1991, respectively. Mr. Groeneveld is honorary editor of IEE Proceedings, Circuits, Devices and Systems and a member of the IEEE and IEE. His other interests include flying, running, traveling and absorbing mostly useless information.
