Abstract
This talk focuses
on the latest innovations in the embedded software space
which will make software engineers lives much easier in the coming
years. We’ll
discuss the first and second generation approaches to hardware
virtualization along
with a demonstration of Embedded Supersystem Virtualization (ESV).
We’ll
conclude with a discussion of ESV’s impact on the EDA and enterprise
software markets.
Speaker
Ross Wheeler has over 20 years of
experience in the software industry. He previously founded and led
RouterWare,
the leading network protocol supplier with over 300 networking
infrastructure
customers, until its acquisition by Wind River Systems, Inc. in 1999.
Following
the acquisition, Mr. Wheeler continued to play a leading part in the
success of
the company as Chief Technologist with the Networking Business unit.
His prior experience includes positions in software engineering with
Fibermux,
NewGen Systems, Gateway Communications, and Lockheed Missiles and Space
Co. Mr.
Wheeler holds a BSCS and BS Computer Engineering from Trinity University.
