Luca Benini

Luca Benini received his master in EE from Stanford University in 1994 and his Ph.D. in EE from Stanford University in 1997, where he worked with Prof. De Micheli on synthesis of sequential circuits for low power dissipation. He is a research associate at the "Universita' di Bologna", Italy and at Stanford University. He also holds a position as Visiting researcher at HP Labs, Palo Alto, CA. He is the author of the Book "Dynamic Power Management: design techniques and CAD tools", Kluwer 1998 (jointly with Prof. De Micheli). His current research interests are on power estimation and optimization and, more in general, on automatic synthesis of high-performance digital circuits.
