Dr. Stephen Edwards
Stephen Edwards received the BS degree from Caltech in 1992, the MS
from Berkeley in 1994, and a Ph.D from Berkeley in 1997, all in
Electrical Engineering. His master's project at Berkeley was an
Esterel compiler, and his thesis work involved adding a new simulation
domain to the Ptolemy system that also uses synchronous semantics.
After Berkeley, Dr. Edwards worked for Simplex Solutions, then joined
the Advanced Technology Group at Synopsys where he continues to work
on compiling synchronous languages.
