| Alberto Sangiovanni-Vincentelli holds the Edgar L. and Harold H. Buttner Chair of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California at Berkeley. He was a co-founder of Cadence and Synopsys, the two leading companies in the area of Electronic Design Automation. Sangiovanni-Vincentelli was instrumental in developing technology that is at the foundation of EDA as well as the platform-based design methodology that has been realized in the Metropolis design environment. |
