User interfaces
Pointers to interesting user interface resources.
- subArctic
- A user interface toolkit written in Java. Very interesting applets on the demo page. Some of the test cases at the end of that page are more interesting (to me) than the demos. In particular, try the Tab Lens Test and select the C-Graph Lens.
Development on subArctic appears to have stalled somewhat. The current release is written for JDK1.02.
- Amulet
- The Amulet reseach project at CMU. Amulet is written in C++ and supports hierarchy, constraints and interactors.
- Java 2D
- The new Java 2D API (part of Swing) looks really great! They haven't implemented a structured graphics model, but it should be a lot easier with the 2D API than with earlier releases.
- Graphics, Visualization and Usability Center at Georgia Tech.
