Bio: | John Wawrzynek is a world-class leader in reconfigurable systems that are highly parallel and offer fine-grained programmability. He has been central to to the RAMP Lab (Research Accelerator for Multiple Processors) and the development of the Green Flash Supercomputer (used to improve global climate predictions), and he led the development of the Berkeley Emulation Engine (BEE), now spun off to BEEcube, Inc. He brings to TSRC valuable expertise in techniques for specializing and adapting computational structures on a per-application basis, within many application domains. Work in his group involves the design of reconfigurable computing devices and machines, development of novel programming systems, and application of reconfigurable computing systems to real-world computing and simulation tasks. |
