Engage with high school students, increase their understanding of cyber-based technology, and highlight paths of study that can lead to privacy and security careers.

Our Vision

CYBEAR provides San Francisco Bay Area students entering grades 9-11 with a six-week summer curriculum that exposes them to computer science, engineering, and cyber security. Students learn the beginning principles of cyber security by gaining an understanding of computer hardware and networking, managing their digital footprint and protecting their privacy, and developing skills in Python programming. The overarching goal is to increase the number of security and privacy professionals by helping young people understand the need for cyber security and consider developing their interest in cyber security as a career path.
