Abstract
This poster proposes an approach to automatically map and annotate beacons and sensors inside buildings using a lightweight method with a smartphone and non-expert user. Mapping location-providing beacons inside buildings is a laborious and time-consuming process. The mapping process needs to be automated, for these systems to be deployed at scale. We propose an approach of sensor fusion that leverages the inter-beacons ranging, ranging between beacons and smartphones, visual inertial odometry, geometry of floor plans and a user-interface supported by augmented reality, to map both the location providing beacons as well as low-power embedded devices in the environment that do not support any location service.
