Abstract
An ultra-low power sensor node system with imaging and motion detection capability is presented. The system mainly consists of an imager chip and a processor chip as part of the latest modular M3 platform. During the ultra-low power motion detection mode, the imager chip consumes 200 nW, allowing the system to remain in sleep mode and wake up upon motion. In imaging mode, the imager chip produces 160x160 resolution 9-bit images while consuming 20 uW.
