Abstract
The diversity of localization systems and position representations today is a major impediment to combining location information wherever it is available in the Swarm. We propose an architecture that wraps raw application specific data inside a location accessor to present a common abstract representation of position to swarmlets. To accomplish this, we present a first order language of localization that expresses real-world positional phenomena as predicates and give a model for semantic localization capable of evaluating the validity of language sentences. We also show our progress in implementing a Map Manager and a Location Engine to facilitate automatic sensor fusion and logical inference from location accessors.
