Installing Eudora

Eudora is the recommended mail program. Eudora is on ntsww1, but set up so that you have to build five floppy disks before you can install it. A better choice is to go to the Berkeley PC/Windows Support page, go to the latest version of Eudora, and get the network-installable file. (Here's a local copy of version 3.03.) I installed it in c:\networking\Eudora.

>Now, set Eudora so that it uses your own mail folder. Find all shortcuts that open Eudora (for example, c:\Winnt\Profiles\johnr\Start Menu\Programs\Eudora Pro\Eudora Pro), right-click and open the Properties dialog. Click on the Shortcut tab and, in the Target entry widget, append c:\Mail to the path to the Eudora executable.

Now start Eudora. The first time you start it, you need to configure it. Here are bean's settings:
