Bio:  I received my Laurea (Master) degree in Mathematics from the Universit¯¯ di Pisa, Italy. I then worked for the Italian Registration Authority and for the Instituto di Informatica e Telematica del Consiglio nazionale delle Ricerche di Pisa. In 2001 I moved to the States to start a Ph.D in Computer Engineering at the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH under the guidance of Professor George Cybenko. I graduated in 2007 and now I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at UC Berkeley working with Professor Shankar Sastry.

My research interests include intrusion detection, security for wireless sensor networks, modeling and detection of the most modern types of computer attacks (multi stage, cognitive), covert channels, and modeling and analysis of cyber physical systems with the goal of detecting attacks.
