Abstract
Applications of sensor networking to real-time monitoring systems in the home healthcare setting are an important and developing area of research. The key research problems include designing an adaptable, complete system for information flow from one subset of users of the system (the patients, families, neighbors, etc.) to another (healthcare professionals) and the use of a value-centered design approach to incorporate the privacy rights afforded to these users.
