Ptolemy Demos
Ptolemy 0.7.1
Ptolemy 0.7.1 contains two SDF ATM demos in the Communications Demo palette.-
lossySpeech
- Illustrate the effect on speech of a zero-substitution policy in
a network (such as ATM) with 48 byte packets and a variable loss
probability. Note that this demo requires audio capability and will
probably only work on Sun workstations.

lossySpeechPrevCell
- Illustrate the effect on speech of a previous cell substitution
policy in a network (such as ATM) with 48 byte packets and a variable

The images of the models were generated with
cd $PTOLEMY/src/domains/sdf/demo $PTOLEMY/bin/prfacet -TOFILE /tmp/lossySpeech.ps -N -n -p -x lossySpeech pstoimg /tmp/lossySpeech.ps distill /tmp/lossySpeech.psNote that the original models are in color, but due to software aging, when we generated the images in color, the background of each actor was black.
Ptolemy 0.5.2
Ptolemy 0.5.2 contained other DE ATM demos that were removed with the release of Ptolemy 0.6. These demos are described in the 0.5.2 DE User's Manual chapter.
Ptolemy 0.5.2 also contained the Communicating Processes (CP) and Message Queuing (MQ) domains. The MQ domain had a few cell based demos, which are described in 0.5.2 MQ User's Manual chapter.
The CP and MQ domains are not in Ptolemy 0.6 and later, see Chapter 4, Introduction to Domains, of the Ptolemy User's Manual.
