How I installed Windows NT

This section describes how I installed Windows NT on bean from scratch. Needless to say, these instructions are only directly applicable if you want to do the same thing...

What you'll end up with here is a bare-bones system that is fully connected to the network through both Ethernet and mode. From there, the rest is a cinch (see following sections).

There are a number of places where I have linked to files that need to be downloaded to make a floppy disk (for installing device drivers and the like). When I do this, I alos have a link to a local copy, since the IBM site seems to be fairly unreliable. Nonetheless, you should check the IBM site if you can to get the latest version.

Note that these instructions assume you have an CD-ROM. In theory, you can do a network install, but it's not the easiest way:
