How do I connect the DBX units?

The DBX166XLs are noise gate and compressor units. These are invaluable for
  1. Filtering noise from the audience mics
  2. Compressing signals so that SHOUTERS don't drive the encoder into clipping.

Each is a stereo unit, and we have two of them, meaning that we can process four channels of the mixer through them. The two front audience mics should be processed through this, as should the speaker mic. The fourth channel can be used for either the third audience mic or the second wireless mic, depending on the room.

To connect the DBXs into the mixer, find the cables that have a stereo quarter-inch jack on one end, and grey and orange mono quarter-inch jacks on the other end. Plug the stereo ends into the rear of channels 1-4 of the mixer. Plug the grey mono jacks into the inputs of the DBX units, and orange mono jacks into the outputs of the DBX units.

Obviously, you should wire it up so that the DBX units from top left to bottom right correspond to mixer channels 1 to 4 in order.
