[ Overview ] [ Laptops ] [ Audio ] [ Video ]

Each of the Canon VCX-C3 cameras is separately connected to a controlling unit. The farthest Canon VCX-C3 will be controlled by laptop #2. The nearest Canon VCX-C3 is controlled via the remote. These cameras are controlled via serial cable.

The serial cable connects to the side of one of the laptops #1 (or remote). A small, inexpensive camera(not shown) is not movable, and is perched so that it can view the audience.

S-video cable (black) next to serial cable(grey). The s-video and serial cable are run along the floor and taped down with duct tape.

The Navitar controls which camera is active.

The s-video cable from each of the three cameras is connected to the back of the Navitar switching unit. The output from this is located at the far left port(see picture above). This is fed into the s-video port on the Boat Anchor unit which supports laptop #1(see picture below). The other ports are for input from each of the three cameras.

The s-video port is on the right (no yellow tape).

The serial cable from the farthest Canon VCX-C3 camera is brought to laptop #2. The serial cable from the nearest Canon VCX-C3 is connected to the remote.
